Craig David
It has been 10 years since Hampshire born Craig David first burst onto the UK music scene with his 1999 smash ‘Rewind’ which became inescapable that summer and UK garage’s signature tune.
Following that debut success up with the multi-million selling album ‘Born to Do It’, which spawned several classic singles including the number ones ‘7 Days’ and ‘Fill Me In’.
A number of further hugely successful singles such as ‘Walking Away’ , ‘Rendezvous’ and ‘What’s Your Flava’ came next, along with the acclaimed albums ‘Slicker Than Your Average’ in 2002 and ‘The Story Goes…’ in 2005, adding weight Craig David’s reputation as an internationally successful, household name.
Fourth album’ Trust Me’ came out in 2007 cementing Craig’s staying power and was followed in 2008 by his ‘Greatest Hits’, highlighting what an incredible decade it has been for an artist who is still only 27 years old.
Craig David has played arena shows all over the worldd to his millions of adoring fans, has won 3 prestigious Ivor Novello Awards for songwriting, 4 Mobo Awards and 2 MTV Europe Awards and was recently presented with an Honorary Doctorate in Music from Southampton Solent University.
Alongside his music career Craig has also made an impact on TV in recent times appearing on ‘Adrenaline Junkie’ with Jack Osbourne and winning the Man-of-the-Match award for his performance at Wembley when he played at Unicef’s Soccer Aid event.
Craig is currently recording his 5th studio album details of which will be announced in due course.
